My Story
In 2015 I was elected to participate in the U/20 section at the South African Junior Chess Championship (Closed) and ended up as one of the top 13 chess players in South Africa.
Soon after I had a desire to cultivate this gift and to share my knowledge with the people around me. I found myself always talking about chess whenever i had the opportunity.
Years later it led me to start my own chess academy where i can guide and build players who compete at the highest level. Stellenbosch Chess Academy can also proudly say we are the official chess coaches of Laerskool Eikestad & Rhenish Primary.
Currently Stellenbosch Chess Academy offers personal chess lessons in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Somerset West and surrounding areas. The academy also provides professional online lessons that can be booked from the website.

At Stellenbosch chess academy we are passionate about the art that every chess game brings.
We want to share our knowledge of this beautiful game through coaching and equipping our young minds in the community, to become critical thinkers at a young age and develop creativity over the board.
